Fajar International College (FIC) is in business to provide the highest standard of education in Occupational Safety and Health, Business Management and Accounting Courses. Thereby providing all our learners with quality outcomes-based education and training driven by the integrity, accountability, professionalism and innovation of our lecturers/trainers and support staff.
We invest in our people and maintain a work environment that is conducive to their physical, mental and spiritual health. We provide them with challenges and rewards to encourage them to make a meaningful contribution to the company, the industry and the community. In striving to achieve the above, all staff is required to sign the FIC Code of Ethics. In addition we have established and maintain a Quality Management System that clearly reflects our values and mission thereby guaranteeing delivery to our learners.
The History of Fajar International College
This institution was founded in 1996 as the SL institution and renamed Institute Tinggi Fajar in 2002. As an institution of higher learning, and with the strong backing of the Ministry of Education in Kuching and the community, Dr. Peter Tham gradually increased both student numbers and academic programs relevant to today’s demands.
With patience and hard work, Institute Tinggi Fajar was granted full college status in 2007, and its name was changed to Fajar College, then to Fajar International College, with the ability to attract overseas students. With the blessed continuous increase in student intake, Fajar moved into a 4-block building in Sevenew Commercial Centre, fully furnished and equipped to house all of our efficient staff, highly qualified team of lecturers, and the entire student body, providing them with the best teaching and learning environment in a safe, quiet, and conducive environment with cutting-edge equipment for their brief but memorable stay with us. This is our very own Fajar Sevenew campus.
